Airborne-, land- and marine-based geophysical surveys using a wide variety of physical measurements – electromagnetic, seismic, gravity, magnetic, electrical, radiometric, etc are used to delineate the physical structure of the earth from its surface to depths of a kilometer or more.
These also map the distribution of lithological characteristics associated with a given target type. These may be provided as data sets or as integrated reports including both geophysical modelling and geological interpretation. Visible and non-visible band airborne and satellite remote sensing data are used for the measurement of topography or mapping of near-surface surface geology.
