Fugro is a major supplier of pipeline inspection surveys for detecting free-spans, damage and defects, leaks, cathodic erosion and pipeline movement. Our survey and inspection vessels are equipped with ROVs fitted with video cameras, acoustic scanning systems, CP probes and pipe-trackers to locate buried lines, and with ROTVs for acoustic pipeline surveys.

Pipeline engineers are presented with fully detailed charts, videos and stills images, detailed incident reports and KP lists in a user-friendly digital format that delivers the data vital for comprehensive assessments of pipe condition.

A Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle (ROTV) provides a high stability platform for acoustic side-scan sonar and imaging systems when measuring pipeline exposure, free spans, scouring, and for monitoring pipeline damage and seabed conditions.

Precise underwater positioning and an advanced sub-sea gyrocompass, ensures features are accurately located and that overlapping coverage is merged with confidence. On-board interpretation and analysis of the data is performed using advanced software solutions and managed within our GIS-based quality control system for optimum client confidence.
