Product Manager - Metocean Data Applications

Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about driving innovation initiatives to restructure optimize and future-proof the time series as part of our Metocean workflow? Then this might be the role for you!

As Product Manager for Metocean Data Applications you manage the innovation projects, from concept to successful adoption by the business. You contribute to shaping and execution of the Metocean data strategic roadmap, ensuring that innovations are implemented across the business, in collaboration with other Fugro developments, and in accordance with best practices.

You interact closely with data experts and solution architects from our innovation departments, and you report to the Solution Director.

Because of its global character this position can be based in multiple locations.

Your role

• You define requirements and goals for relevant development projects by using your global perspective and subject matter expertise to support the Innovation development team;

• You bring deep technical and market knowledge to the Innovation team to support the creation of user stories, prioritisation of backlog and provide feedback to the development team;

• You assist in defining the innovation budget, monitor and report on overall progress of internal and external developments;

• You understand client needs, establish business cases, and translate these needs into a product vision and business requirements taking into consideration expected returns, competitors and market evaluation;

• You manage external supplier activities to produce outsourced technical tools/functionality;

• You oversee the Innovation Agile process for this project, ensuring demonstration, planning, testing and implementation activities run to expectation and escalate to Solution Owner where appropriate;

• You are responsible for detailed analysis, recording and communication of Metocean data and process requirements, for all data types, offerings, and services in Metocean globally.

Your track record

• You have a BSc degree in IT or domain-related field;

• You have a broad experience in Metocean monitoring & forecasting Data and Operational Technology, and preferably in Supplier Management;

• You have a strong commercial and financial acumen and can translate strategy into a realistic, timely and cost-effective plan;

• You have a strong drive for innovation and are experienced in the development & marketing of new solutions for clients;

• You have cross cultural awareness, the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels and excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
